Standing 6’5” tall, Kyoshi Darren Ross is a gentle giant that enjoys working with all RSKA's students. Because of his ability to reach students of all ages and levels of experience, he is well liked and respected by everyone at the dojo.
Kyoshi Ross has trained under Shihan Rick Herbster at RSKA Headquarters Dojo for over 35 years and on July 20, 2024, Kyoshi Ross was promoted to the rank of 7th Degree Black Belt or Nanadan in front of a board of over 25 martial arts Masters and Grandmasters from around the world.
In addition to his many accomplishments, in and out of the dojo, Kyoshi Ross is proud to have helped develop many the Black Belts that RSKA has produced. To this day, the upper rank masters at RSKA talk about the training and influence they received from Kyoshi Ross.
